What is HSE Management ?

Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) is a technical field related to the control of profesionnal risks aspect inside a company. The aim is to create an integrated management system to prevent the risks. 

This field applies in many areas and can be present in the quality management, security management or environmental management. The HSE responsible is in charge of the staff security, its formation regarding prevention matters, the respect of the rules and the reliability of the facilities. 

From a health & safety standpoint, it involves creating organized efforts and procedures for identifying workplace hazards and reducing accidents and exposure to harmful situations and substances. It also includes training of personnel in accident prevention, accident response, emergency preparedness, and use of protective clothing and equipment.

From an environmental standpoint, it involves creating a systematic approach to complying with environmental regulations, such as managing waste or air emissions all the way to helping site's reduce the company's carbon footprint.

There are many issues which require different fields of knowledge for the common interest of the whole company.
